The CDC releases new guidelines for those outdoors

By Conner Tighe

On Tuesday, April 27, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced those fully vaccinated no longer need to wear masks while outdoors unless they’re in a large crowd.  This is one of the first efforts the CDC is making to return society to “normal” again, whatever that may be.

Around 140 million Americans have been vaccinated at least once this year, with more than a third of Americans fully vaccinated.

President Joe Biden announced yesterday to encourage those still hesitant to get the vaccine to get vaccinated. Those outside are less likely to get the Coronavirus with an 18.7 greater chance of contracting the virus inside rather than out found in a November review in the Journal of Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Anthony Fauci announced in a statement on Monday, April 26, that there will be a positive spin on the pandemic within a couple of weeks. “If you really want to be free of the constraints, get vaccinated,” Fauci said in a statement.

This is a rapidly developing situation. Visit local or national news sites for more information as developments occur.
