Judo

The Ross Community Center Judo Academy was founded by Sensei John Hampton in 2014. Sensei Hampton is a sixth-degree blackbelt (Rokudan) in Judo and has several assistant instructors that help on a weekly basis. Check out the “Our Team” section on our website to learn more about our many sensei’s at the Center.

Judo is generally categorized as a modern Japanese martial art which has since evolved into an Olympic event. At the Ross Center, the Ross Community Center Judo Academy hosts tournaments and kata clinics, as well as, travels to both local and national tournaments. It is open to ages 5 through adult and practices are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5pm-7pm. The monthly fee is $20 per participant. Additional participants from the same family are an extra $5 per month.

To register for our judo program: 1) print off the attached waiver, complete and return to the Ross Center; or 2) stop by the Ross Center to fill out a waiver.
