Kid Programs:

Afterschool Programs: Kids K-5: Mon – Thur 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., one-on-one tutoring, homework help, project-based learning, and learning through play.

Futsal: Every Tue 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Judo For Kids: Mon & Wed 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Judo For Teens and Adults: Mon & Wed 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Youth Little League: Our YLL happens every Summer and Fall.

Music with YSO: In partnership with YSO, neighborhood children can learn to play the cello and viola, Wed & Fri from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Collaborative Programs:

ICE League: With the mission to focus on the inner-city educational league, we collaborate with the YMCA and Boys & Girls Club of Muncie. This program was suspended in 2020 due to the pandemic, but we’re happy to have the program again in 2022 February through April.

Immersive Learning Courses:

    • Reading Class: Tue & Thur 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Visual Ethnographies: Through collaboration with the Thomas/Avondale Neighborhood community residents, this program seeks to develop visual ethnographies that document community issues, opportunities, and goals that contribute to the neighborhood’s revitalization.

Adult Programs:

Senior Euchre 55+: Every Friday, from 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Basketball: Contact the Ross Center for availability

Volleyball: Contact the Ross Center for availability

Judo 13+: Mon & Wed 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

English as a Second Language:
Classes for non-native learners of English. Basic and Intermediate Classes.

Sewing Classes: A six-week program which occurs Tue & Thur 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Maternal Health Literacy Education: This program is focused on empowering the voices of women in the community as experts on what works and what needs to be done to enhance maternal health literacy.


Neighborhood Programs:

Market Days:

Nearly every Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., the Ross Center hosts a community marketplace. These weekly events allow the community to get what they need, like essentials, produce, and other supplies. Check our social media for updated information on recent market dates.

Council Meetings:

Every third Wednesday of the month, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Ross Community Centers hosts its monthly council meeting.

Health Fair:

Throughout the year, the Ross Center hosts educational health fairs with inspiring efforts from Open Door Health Services and the Healthy Lifestyle Center. These fairs aim to not only instruct healthier choices for a better life, but also spread our message of community.
